DocShuttle Dictation ASP service
provides call-in dictation via toll-free number. You are billed only for what you use.
The service can be used alone or together with the DocShuttle
Transcription ASP service. Each dictator is given a unique 4-digit
ID. When calling the toll-free number, the dictator is prompted to
enter the 4-digit ID and then begin dictating. The caller can be
prompted to enter other information such as medical record number and
account number. Each key on the telephone keypad can be
assigned a function. Standard functions are:
Press 2: to record
Press 4: to pause
Press 3: to rewind
Press 1: to play back
Press 7: to fast forward
Press 8: to move to beginning of file
Press 6: to move to end of file
Press 5: to save the dictation
Press 9: to abort the dictation
Dictated files are securely routed to
transcriptionists via FTP server or into the DocShuttle Transcription
ASP web site for online access. A 100MB FTP site is included when
setting up a DocShuttle Digital account. Files stored on the FTP
server can be accessed using DocShuttle Transcription software or other
FTP client software.
